At the moment there are no El Niño or La Niña conditions, normal conditions prevail. The sea surface temperature (SST) of the central and eastern equatorial Pacific is slightly below average. The difference in sea temperature between the last week of June and the end of May show a clear cooling of the South Pacific, especially near South America; while the central equatorial Pacific strip presented some areas with warmer than normal temperatures. There is almost a 51% probability of maintaining normal conditions during July-September 2020. This probability, from what is now known, would be reduced to 44% during September-November 2020.
