Climate Services Toolkit (CST)

One of the components of the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS, or GFCS) is the Climate Services Information System (CSIS), which is a mechanism through which it seeks to collect and process climate information, with in order to create products and services that help decision making. Among these Systems, the World Meteorological Organization has created the concept of the Climate Services Toolkit – CST, or in Spanish the “Climate Services Toolkit”, which is one of the main instruments for the application of CSIS.

The CST ultimately materializes into a set of guides, procedures and instructions, data, software tools, training resources and examples to enable climate services at global, regional and national levels.

At ENANDES the objective of this initiative is to identify, compile and package the knowledge products, IT tools and training materials developed within the framework of the project. For this, this web platform was developed with free license technologies, considering the coding and documentation standards developed in the project and it was implemented on the CIIFEN computer platform, specifically within the CRC-OSA website, in order to guarantee its sustainability.
