Prioritized sectors for adaptation to climate change:

• Huallaga River Basin: in the “Jungle” region. The main climatic dangers in the Huallaga basin have been droughts and floods. In the last two decades, floods have been recorded with greater frequency and intensity. Flood risks are aggravated by settlements located mostly along river banks.
• The Medium and Lower Basin of the RIMAC: From 5.500 meters above sea level to near the city of Lima and affecting 9M people in terms of water availability.
